Ms Portia Garnons-Williams
Portia is the direct Descendant of a Sixties Scoop Survivor. She is a first-year undergraduate student of Social Sciences and International Relations at the University of Toronto, Trinity College. She is a Senior Editor for the online journal Harmony - Youth Voices on Science, Law, and Sustainability. She is also a passionate advocate for Indigenous rights having partnered with the charity I Love First Peoples to bring awareness to and raise funds for Indigenous children living in Northern Canada. Through her academic research and volunteerism, Portia brings to light concerns of Indigenous injustice and inequity.
