Ms Alyssa Johnson
Alyssa is a Grade 1 teacher from Calgary, Alberta. She is a part of the Blackfoot Nation and has been learning about the culture and traditions alongside her father, who didn't have the opportunity to learn or experience his culture until he met his mother as an adult.
Teaching has always been Alyssa's passion, and she loves incorporating Indigenous ways of knowing into her lessons, especially through storytelling and art. Alyssa's goal is to support, encourage, and inspire the next generation to be proud of who they are and aspire to achieve their goals.
