Anisa Daniel-Oniko
Anisa Daniel-Oniko is a Nigerian writer currently living in Dubai, UAE, with her family. A passionate storyteller and devoted reader, Anisa began her literary journey at an early age. At just ten years old, she published her debut novel, Double ‘A’ For Adventure, which follows the thrilling journey of twin girls on a semi-fantastical quest. The book was longlisted for the Nigeria Prize for Literature—the largest literary award in Africa—making Anisa the youngest author ever to achieve this honour, in a competition typically reserved for adults.
In 2021, she released her second book, Further in Florien, further establishing her voice as a young author with remarkable imagination and maturity. By 2024, Anisa had expanded her impact even further, serving as a senior editor and contributing writer for Harmony, the Journal of the Global Youth Council on Science, Law, and Sustainability.
Anisa is deeply committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those focused on Life on Land, Life Below Water, and Gender Equality. Her writing reflects a deep concern for the planet, a belief in the power of youth voices, and a vision of a more just and sustainable future.
Anisa dreams of seeing her characters cherished in homes, hearts, and libraries around the world. With each story, she hopes to spark imagination, promote compassion, and help build a world filled with safety, sustainability, and boundless adventure—just like the ones in her books.
