Child Authors from the Voices of Future Generations initiative will get together with other children from schools in Mexico City for a series of workshops and roundtable intergenerational dialogues. The event will be co-hosted with UNICEF Mexico at the Papalote Museo del Nino (children's museum) in Mexico City.
Workshops, facilitated by experts in the field will include climate change, water and the environment, education and inclusivity, gender equality in STEM education, and migrant children and children on the street.
On 10 December 2016, the Child Authors from around the world will launch their wonderful new film about the Sustainable Development Goals, the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the future they wish to see.
The screening will take place at the 13th Conference of the Parties on Biological Diversity in Cancun, Mexico. It will form part of the Biodiversity Law and Governance Day (BLGD), by the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law, Centro Mexicano de Derecho Ambiental, and Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity.
There will be an opportunity to hear some of the Child Authors talk about their books, and to chat with them.
